Student support
Student mental health, wellbeing, and safety is of paramount importance to the University of Brighton. Diversity and inclusion are at the centre of all of Brighton’s activities and the University offers a range of support services designed to help students from the day they arrive on campus.
All students have access to a Student Support and Guidance Tutor (SSGT) and a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT). SSGTs are dedicated to supporting any issues that might be impacting studies, wellbeing or experience. PATs provide academic advice and work closely with the SSGTs to ensure that students are supported holistically.
For students who want to work while they study, there are opportunities to apply for paid roles on campus. The careers and employability team can provide advice on finding a job in the city, and answer career-related questions.
