Annual Conference for Teachers and Advisers 2022

I am an Outreach Officer at the University of Leicester and have been in my current role since August 2021. Prior to this I worked on the Uni Connect programme. I therefore have a wealth of experience in delivering outreach events and programmes to help young people from various backgrounds underrepresented in higher education learn more about how they can access HE. Care experienced students are amongst the lowest groups of those progressing to higher education, therefore I will be speaking to you all about this issue and exploring ways in which we can increase the number of care leavers progressing to higher education.
