I have been a teacher since 1984, and in senior leadership for the last 14 years. My current responsibilities involve being Head of Sixth Form at All Saints’ Academy in Cheltenham. With 45% of the students classified as pupil premium, All Saints' Academy serves a deprived area of Cheltenham. Despite this, more than half our sixth formers are now going on to university.
For the last three years, I have been the UCAS adviser for my students. I have spent a lot of time helping students with personal statements, completing the application, and writing so many references! This year it was personal, because my daughter has applied to study psychology.
