The Annual Conference for Teachers and Advisers 2019

Katie is a Student Recruitment and Widening Participation Manager at The University of Manchester, overseeing the student recruitment team in the delivery of recruitment-focussed outreach work in schools and colleges both locally and nationally.  Katie works very closely with teachers and advisors, developing  information advice and guidance and CPD resources to  assist teachers in supporting the progression of their students in to higher education. Katie’s background is in widening participation having previously managed the flagship Manchester Access Programme  - a targeted scheme for local Y12 students from underrepresented groups (www.manchester.ac.uk/undergraduate/map/ ) and the Manchester Distance Access scheme – the University’s national widening access programme.
