Our campuses are equipped with modern facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories, study spaces, and recreational areas, to support both academic and personal growth.

Academic support
We offer tailored support services with skills workshops, tutoring services, as well as a dedicated support for international students to help adapt to the UK education system. You will have access to resources such as the Learning Resources Centres, which combine library and computer facilities to aid your studies.

Personal wellbeing
Your well-being is a top priority at the University of Hertfordshire. A range of services are available to support mental and emotional health, including: counselling services, mental health support and well-being workshops. For student parents and carers, we offer specific support to help balance academic responsibilities with personal commitments.

Financial Support
We understand the financial challenges students face and therefore offer various forms of financial assistance. This includes scholarships, grants, and advice on managing finances. The Student Finance Team is available to provide guidance on funding options and budgeting to ensure you can focus on your studies without financial distractions. We also help you find part-time work that not only supports you financially but also enhances your CV.

Extracurricular Engagement
You will be encouraged to undertake extracurricular activities to enrich your university experience. The Students’ Union offers a variety of clubs and societies catering to diverse interests and providing opportunities for personal growth and social interaction. Additionally, our sports facilities, including gyms and sports clubs, promote physical wellbeing and teamwork. You can also join groups which support communities such as the LGBT+ society, and various cultural groups.

Career Development
Preparing you for a successful career is integral to our mission. The Careers and Employment Service provides guidance on job searching, CV writing and interview preparation. You can also participate in workshops and events that connect with potential employers. Our strong links with industry partners enhance your employment opportunities with access to industry experts as guest speakers, internship and placement opportunities and careers fairs.
