Student support 

Welcoming international students is important to us, and we have dedicated staff available to help you. From the beginning of your study journey at Manchester Met, we are here to ensure you receive all the support you need, including: 

Throughout your studies, we offer a range of resources to ensure you have the support you need, both academically and socially, including: 

  • Our Academic and Study Skills team supports you with writing, numeracy, study skills, and assistive technologies through one-to-one sessions, courses, and workshops. 
  • The Language Centre offers free English coaching to boost your confidence in classes and seminars. 
  • A Students’ Union which organises regular social and cultural events, as well as trips around the UK. 

Employability  

Our Careers Service is here to help you with your future, with expert advisers in each faculty offering tailored guidance. Throughout your student journey, you will have access to resources that will help you to explore your options, build your skills and experience, and equip you to compete in the graduate job market, such as: 

  • Careers advice: Guidance on career planning, applications, interviews, and assessments.  
  • Online resources: Access to a range of digital resources 24 hours a day to support your career success, including automated CV checks, practice video interviews, self-assessments, and industry insight reports. 
  • Experience and skills: Many courses offer the opportunity to undertake work experience through internships or live projects, and you can apply for part-time jobs on campus and volunteering opportunities. 
  • Lifelong access to our digital careers service for Manchester Met alumni

Accommodation  

Students can access a range of accommodation options. All rooms are close to where you will study and near to local facilities.
