What makes us different
A smaller university, but with big industry connections, we have a very diverse student community and are committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed in a supportive environment. Our students vouch for this and this year, we proudly won silver for exceptional student support at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards, winning the overall award in 2022.
Our Centre for Academic Skills and English (CASE) provides 1-2-1 tailored academic support, and through Hired, students can tap into placements through our network of over 1,000 employer partners, who also deliver guest talks, and employer advisory boards.
We also offer first-class mental health and wellbeing and disability support, and financial support, including scholarships, bursaries and our hardship fund.
Easily connected to the rest of the UK and the world, our location is also a draw for students as we are surrounded by booming businesses, gorgeous green spaces, vibrant nightlife and a mix of cultures on our doorstep.
