International

We are proud to be home to over 8,800 talented students from around the world. We are ranked the most international university in the UK (Times Higher Education World University rankings 2025), and 38th in the UK in the 2025 QS World rankings. You can meet our international team at many events we attend throughout the world, and they will offer advice and help you through the application process. There are over 300 international scholarships up for grabs each year. Some are worth up to £6,000, which can really help with your tuition fees and living costs while you’re at university.

Brunel is based in west London so you can enjoy the London experience without the stresses and expense of being in central London. By choosing to study with us you’ll enjoy the best of city life, whilst being able to experience the beautiful English countryside. Accommodation is guaranteed for our international students, and our modern, safe rooms are just a short walk away from your lectures, library, medical centre, and multi-faith prayer rooms, as well as cafés, bars and a mini-supermarket.

Activities and social events are at the heart of campus life. There are 39 different international societies, 20 different academic societies and an exciting calendar of on-campus activities. We are just 45 minutes by underground to central London, a 20-minute walk to Uxbridge town centre and only 15 minutes by car to nearby Heathrow Airport. You can also explore nearby Uxbridge. Just a short walk or bus ride from our campus, you’ll find a variety of shops, cafés, and restaurants, offering something for everyone.

London is on your doorstep. There's so much to see and do in the city - you can explore iconic landmarks like the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and Buckingham Palace, vibrant art galleries and museums, or immerse yourself in the excitement of a West End theatre production. Plus, London offers plenty of opportunities for budget-friendly exploration, with free museums and concerts available. You can also take advantage of student deals and discounts on a variety of activities to stretch your budget further.

When you join Brunel, you’ll soon find your home in our warm and welcoming community. We have dedicated pre-departure events, as well as visa and immigration advice to make sure you are ready to start your journey with us. Our friendly Student Support team is on hand from the moment you arrive with international welcome events before you start your classes. You’ll meet new people and get practical advice about living in the UK. We’ll help you with things like opening a bank account and registering with a doctor (at our medical centre on campus if you wish). We also offer free academic English support during your degree if English isn’t your first language. We will give you ongoing support to make sure you have the best experience possible.
