Student life

The Student Enrichment Team provides additional fun activities for students which they can take part in outside of their studies. The team plan and deliver exciting trips, themed events, volunteering opportunities, and more throughout the year.

The College hold elections for Student Representatives and Governors to give students a say in important matters that might affect them, including the quality of education provided. This provides a great opportunity for students to gain additional skills to take into the workplace after they’ve completed their studies.

What's it like to live in West Midlands?
Check out our region guide

The West Midlands is made up of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. Its main cities are Birmingham, Coventry, and Wolverhampton.

It’s the most diverse part of the country behind London, with a proud multicultural history, from the birth of Two-Tone music in Coventry – a combination of Caribbean ska and English punk – to the Balti curry, courtesy of Birmingham’s Pakistani community.

Once the heart of heavy industry and manufacturing, and the inspiration for Peaky Blinders, Birmingham is one of the youngest cities in Europe, with over 40% under 25 years old.

Solihull has some beautiful natural green areas and parks, including Tudor Grange Park right next door to Blossomfield Campus. With a large international airport, and rail links across the country students can stay well connected. Birmingham is also home to The Bullring shopping centre, clubs, bars, restaurants, entertainment and sporting venues.

The College’s facilities are unmatched in the region, with recent investment in AI and science laboratories at Blossomfield Campus and the aircraft hangar featuring flight simulators and a former Royal Navy aircraft at Woodlands Campus.
