We know that choosing where to study is an important decision and joining our open day is the perfect way to find out if Buckingham is the right place for you.

Come to our Open Day and hear from our Vice-Chancellor, students, and staff as they answer your questions and tell you everything you need to know about living and studying at Buckingham. If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Opening times

Sat 28 June 2025 - 10:00 to 15:30
What happens at an Open Day? Typically, our open days start around 10am and finish at 3pm. Visitors will be welcomed by our Student Ambassadors and staff members and throughout the day will have the opportunity to: - Ask questions to our staff and hear from our Vice-Chancellor; - Chat to about what student life is really like with our current students; - Meet our Accommodation team, Fees and Finance, Students’ Union, Student Welfare and Careers Service teams; - Find out about our degrees and enjoy a taster session of your chosen subject with our teaching staff; - Go on a guided tour of our campus and view our accommodation blocks; - Relax, get some lunch and soak up the atmosphere on our beautiful campus.

Webinar: The Changing Face of Primary Care

Having worked in the NHS over 30 years in General practice, Dr Wallace will give an overview of how general practice has changed for the staff working within it and for the patients attending. This will cover the organisational changes in context and also anecdotes from practice, and therefore is ideal for anyone who may be interested in studying Medicine.

Dr Ingrid Wallace is a practising GP, a GP Trainer and Senior Lecturer at The University of Buckingham Medical School.

Dr Wallace has been involved in the medical school since 2014, developing and teaching the communication skills and Clinical Skills Foundation Course. She now leads the primary care led courses.
