Summary

UCAS’ Project Next Generation research is an in-depth study of 13-17-year-olds, delving into how young people shape their education and career choices.

In this session we’ll take a fresh look at the data from our 1,000 respondents, focussing on the motivations for—and barriers to—considering early careers pathways, including apprenticeships, for four key groups, including:

  • Neurodiverse students
  • Women considering STEM careers
  • Students from ethnic minority backgrounds
  • Students from lower socio-economic backgrounds

Find out how these groups feel about their future, the pathways they are considering and how background influences the choices they make.

Our goal? To empower you with the insights you need to support and inspire a diverse range of young decision-makers across the UK.
