Dr Sly has a long association with the Foundation Year programmes in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester. He teaches Physics to the 350 students on these programmes and is currently Academic Lead for Admissions. He has previously held the roles of Head of Education, Academic Lead for Assessment and Progression, Academic Lead for Student Welfare and Senior Academic Advisor in the Foundation Studies Department.
