Ben Colliard

Teacher of History and UK University Counsellor, International School of Geneva

Biography

Ben read history at Durham University before training as a teacher, since when he has taught in the UK and Switzerland. He has taught GCSE, IGCSE, A level and IB history and politics to students of all abilities, and is also well acquainted with the Swiss Maturité.

Ben decided to combine teaching with university counselling in 2015, and now advises on applications to the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. He works with students applying across the ability spectrum, from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, to foundation. Ben believes that university counselling is about finding the right fit for the student, and is committed to supporting the development of broader tertiary pathways that can ensure all students are equipped to survive and thrive in the 21st century.

Equally passionate about history and tea, he says yes to Marmite and no to liquorice.
