Travel by air
Glasgow Airport is 8 miles, or 15 minutes via taxi, from The Principal Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow. A typical taxi fare is £20, and a shuttle bus takes you from the airport to a stop next to the hotel (exit the bus at the second stop—Bothwell Street). Prestwick Airport is 30-40 minutes from the hotel by train.

The Principal Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, is conveniently attached to the Glasgow Central Station. The hotel entrance is located on the main station concourse. The Queen Street Station is an 8-minute walk away.

Pre-conference visit
Scottish Universities International Group (SUIG) pre-conference reception, the University of Glasgow
The Scottish Universities International Group (SUIG) and the University of Glasgow have kindly invited delegates attending the UCAS International Teachers’ and Advisers’ Conference to a reception the evening before the conference, Sunday 2 June, from 18:00 – 20:00.
The visit will be an opportunity to visit the historic University of Glasgow, and talk to representatives from many of Scotland’s universities and colleges.

Post-conference visit
A post-conference visit to the University of Edinburgh will take place on the morning of Wednesday 5 June.
The University of Edinburgh has kindly invited delegates attending the UCAS International Teachers’ and Advisers’ Conference to visit the university on the morning of Wednesday 5 June 2019.
The visit will be an opportunity to look around the university, talk to university representatives, and meet student ambassadors.

Post-conference tour
About the tour:
UCAS is pleased to once again be working in partnership with Univisits Ltd, to plan and deliver a post-conference tour of several UK higher education providers.
What can you expect from the tour:
The tour runs from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday, and will visit five universities, chosen carefully to offer you a range of course providers. The cost of the tour includes hotel accommodation (in a shared room), all ground transportation, and most meals.
Each visit will last approximately four hours. You’ll meet with the relevant international office personnel, academics, and international students.
For the post-conference tour, transport will be arranged from The University of Edinburgh at approximately 13:45 on Wednesday 5 June, to start the tour of the five universities, and will drop off at Glasgow Airport around 11:00 on Saturday 8 June.
Please note, accommodation for the night of Tuesday 4 June is not included in the post-conference tour.
Post-conference tour schedule:
Wednesday 5 June
Tour will begin after the visit to The University of Edinburgh. Travel to and visit Heriot-Watt University. Overnight stay.
Thursday 6 June
Breakfast and transfer. Visit the University of St Andrews and the University of Dundee. Overnight stay.
Friday 7 June
Breakfast and visit to the University of Stirling and Glasgow Caledonian University. Overnight stay in Glasgow.
Saturday 8 June
Breakfast. Transfer to Glasgow airport.
Cost of the tour:
The cost of the full three-day, three-night tour, to include all ground transportation and hotel accommodation (from Wednesday 5 – Friday 7 June) in a shared room, will be £495 + VAT.
Single occupancy rooms are available at a supplement of £200 + VAT for the three nights.
Important:
Accommodation for the night of Tuesday 4 June (which is not included in the pre-conference tour or the conference package) at The Principal Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, can be booked as part of the registration process.
The tour is based on a minimum group of ten people on Friday 3 May 2019.
A full refund will be offered to all delegates if, for any unforeseen reason, there is insufficient demand to run the tour.
