Dr Matt Edwards

Head of Sixth Form, Sevenoaks School

Biography

After working in research, and teaching undergraduates, Matt has been teaching secondary school students for over 12 years. He has worked with sixth form students, helping them with choices beyond school for over a decade, at two independent schools in London and Kent. He is currently Head of Sixth Form at Sevenoaks School, and last year organised, in partnership with King’s College London, a week-long pre-university conference for International Baccalaureate students, focusing on seeing the world differently, and being empowered to make change in their communities.

Matt has a BA (Oxon), a MPhil (Sunderland), a PhD (Newcastle) and a PGCE (Manchester Met).  He is also part of the PGCE+ programme for Gifted and Talented Youth (based at the University of Warwick).
