Pete Yetton is the Head of Visa Immigration Support and Advice and Assistant Academic Registrar (UKVI Compliance) at Glasgow Caledonian University, overseeing three live campus' in Glasgow, London, and New York, relating to all areas of university business linked to Home Office immigration compliance, to protect the integrity of the business, and to enhance the student journey experience by the interpretation and operation of specific law and guidance, as dictated by the Home Office. Pete brings over 26 years of experience from three differing sectors; hospitality management, military, and legal practice (immigration, asylum and human rights lawyer), to compliment both the internal and external challenges that the education sector faces. Since 2013, Peter launched his ‘re-framing compliance risk management’ initiative across the university, moving compliance into a collective duty of care, and has given many talks on various speaker circuits to FE and HE on a range of issues related to international students and UKVI compliance.
