Pete Yetton will go through how an applicant is assessed by the university’s admissions department, to the point of issuing a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), which is needed for a Tier 4 visa application. He will briefly touch on the Tier 4 visa application itself, and go into detail about the many challenges facing international students applying for UK FE and HE courses, from what the UKVI deem high risk countries.
Paul will discuss the rising numbers of Tier 4 and short-term study visa refusals – providing details of these and how to mitigate them, and the importance of the applicant’s personal statement/statement of purpose. He will also cover the UKVI credibility interview many students need to have prior to their visa being granted, including what providers can do to reduce the risk of visa refusals, which can threaten their licence to recruit international students.
