Since joining UEA’s Outreach Team in 2014, Lauren has delivered a number of outreach initiatives aimed at raising aspirations and widening participation in higher education. In her current role, Lauren works closely with sixth forms and colleges in Norfolk and north Suffolk to deliver up-to-date, relevant information about HE, and recently introduced a pre-arrival transition programme for UEA offer holders from WP backgrounds. Through addressing the key barriers to retention and success within WP groups, the programme provides students with the necessary tools to prepare for academic study, and support a smooth transition to university life.
