The Annual Conference for Teachers and Advisers 2018

The step up from school and college to university study is a big one, and more demands are being placed on advisers to ensure their students are ready and able to seamlessly progress through the nuts and bolts of the UCAS application, onto their first year of study. This session will illustrate a number of tools that are available, and will open up discussion among attendees.

Attendees will:

• Hear about a programme which helps students develop skills for university – recent research has shown this programme can also help with studies prior to university.
• Learn about a new maths resource, which helps with the demands of the new biology A level (English) curriculum, and will hopefully better prepare all students for HE.
• Have the opportunity to discuss and share your own experience of preparing students for the step up to university study.
