Fliss is the Head of Apprenticeships and UK College Partnerships at Nottingham Trent University, and leads on the development of higher and degree apprenticeships, and oversees the university’s UK college partnerships. She is also responsible for Nottingham Trent University’s apprenticeship levy.
Fliss joined Nottingham Trent in 2005, and has held a variety of roles involving the management of key strategic projects for the University Executive Team, including the implementation and embedding of new initiatives to improve the student experience, developing Nottingham Trent University’s online course portfolio, and designing and launching the university’s employability award.
Fliss holds an MBA from Durham University, and prior to joining the higher education sector, spent time at a further education college, and also worked for a number of multinational companies in graduate recruitment. Through her varied experience, Fliss understands the importance of attracting and developing talent within businesses, and has led on many initiatives at Nottingham Trent University, driving forward new products, and providing flexibility and choice. Fliss draws on her varied background to lead the design of Nottingham Trent University’s apprenticeship portfolio.
