This session will explore ‘what good looks like’ in relation to careers guidance, drawing on evidence and outcomes from the national pilot, which tested the implementation of the Gatsby Foundation’s eight benchmarks of good careers guidance in 16 schools and colleges. The session will go on to explore a variety of models and different approaches to integrating careers guidance in schools and colleges, and why this is important to outcomes. Finally, the session will look at the latest information from Ofsted and business organisations, and will show how this work can be integrated into a regional economic strategy, using the example of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership.
