Need a bit of extra support?

All your tutors at College are committed to supporting to achieve your goals and will be happy to discuss anything you might need more help with or are finding difficult in class. Sometimes, you might need some extra help so please pop and see us in The Link if you would like to talk about extra support at College.

The Student Support and Inclusion Team help students with a range of additional needs, we can provide extra support and discuss reasonable adjustments if you have a learning difficulty, disability, medical condition, or just need some extra help with Maths or English.

The Student Support and Inclusion Team are a dedicated and experienced team which includes Exam Access Arrangements Assessors, Study Skills Coaches, Student Health & Therapy Practitioner, SaL & Sensory Support Coach, Support Advisors and therapy dogs!

We support a wide range of students who have learning difficulties and disabilities. The team has a range of specialisms and often work with students who have:

  • Dyslexia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Visual or Hearing impairment
  • Social and Communication Support Needs
  • Physical disabilities

The team has specialist qualifications and works across all College sites to ensure support is in place whenever you need it.

If you are a Higher Education (HE) student studying with us and you have a disability, you may be able to apply for a Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). This is funding that may be used to support your studies, especially if you have a:

  • Long-term health condition
  • Mental health condition
  • Specific learning difficulty
