Student life

Studying a Higher Education qualification at College is an affordable alternative to traditional university study. With lower fees, smaller class sizes, more flexibility, and hands-on practical learning throughout, our Higher Education programmes enable you to achieve your ambitions your way.

Our friendly Students’ Unions host a variety of social activities, trips and events, bringing together students from across our Colleges. As a student, you can join a diverse range of clubs, societies and sports teams, with opportunities to take on leadership positions as a Students’ Union President or Officer, helping to shape the student experience at your College.

We are not able to provide our students with accommodation at any of our sites, but there are plenty of private and student rental options near to all our campuses.

What's it like to live in South East?
Check out our region guide

South East England is made up of nine counties, with popular student cities in Brighton & Hove, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, and Southampton.

The area sees plenty of sunshine and Brighton – the LGBTQ+ capital of the UK – is a student favourite, with tons of quirky shops, cafes, arts, nightlife and watersports.

Moving east into Kent, you'll find the charming towns of Whitstable, Broadstairs, and Margate – all bursting with literary history – plus the iconic landmarks of Dover’s white cliffs and Canterbury Cathedral.

London is an hour or two away for gigs, theatre trips and capital city adventures, while the country’s two largest airports – Heathrow and Gatwick – mean international journeys are easy to get started.
