University is where people from near and far come to explore their ambition. At Kent, you’ll do this is a welcoming environment surrounded by new friends and with extensive student support services available to you. Study your chosen subject while you expand your interests. How about playing a new sport for the first time, trying your hand at adventure gaming, or even giving stand-up comedy a go? All students are invited to join Kent Students' Union, where you can join hundreds of societies, sports organisations and community action groups. If there’s not a society that appeals to you, they’ll help you to set up one that does!

South East England is made up of nine counties, with popular student cities in Brighton & Hove, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, and Southampton.

The area sees plenty of sunshine and Brighton – the LGBTQ+ capital of the UK – is a student favourite, with tons of quirky shops, cafes, arts, nightlife and watersports.

Moving east into Kent, you'll find the charming towns of Whitstable, Broadstairs, and Margate – all bursting with literary history – plus the iconic landmarks of Dover’s white cliffs and Canterbury Cathedral.

London is an hour or two away for gigs, theatre trips and capital city adventures, while the country’s two largest airports – Heathrow and Gatwick – mean international journeys are easy to get started.

Campus and facilities

Canterbury is a vibrant city, offering plenty to do in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. If you’re based in Medway, there’s plenty to do locally.

Our UK locations offer expansive outdoor spaces – the Canterbury campus is set in 300 acres of beautiful Kent parkland and is less than an hour from London with easy access to the coast and countryside, as well as mainland Europe. Medway is set by the river in a fascinating mix of modern and historical buildings and is just 40 minutes from London by train. Whilst studying with us, you’ll enjoy our sports centre, cinema, a wide range of cafés, restaurants and bars, and an on-campus nightclub.
