Mental Health and Wellbeing
We have a range of wellbeing activities for you to help you settle in and check in whenever you need some extra support or someone to talk to. You’ll also be able to access regular wellbeing sessions with our Student Support and Experience team throughout your time at ALT. This includes:
- Induction and enrolment programme at the start of each academic year.
- One-to-one pastoral support available to all students.
- Weekly drop-in sessions during term time.
- A calendar full of regular workshops and activities.
- We also partner with charities and organisations to put together a series of campaigns and awareness events with practical advice and guidance for mental health and wellbeing.
Sometimes, you might want support from someone who’s separate from our staff, your friends or family. Counselling may help you. You can talk in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential setting where you can work through your problems. We have professional, registered counselling and wellbeing support through our Student Assistance Programme. This is facilitated by Health Assured, the UK’s largest independent assistance programme.
You’ll also have access to the Health Assured app for personalised content and courses to give you the wellbeing tools and strategies to use in your own time.
