Student life

Our undergraduate courses are designed in collaboration with industry to ensure that our students developed the skills and knowledge needed by industry. We match every undergraduate student with their own dedicated industry mentor. You’ll meet a minimum of once a term and they’ll support and guide you throughout the course, giving you an insight into the industry.

As part of the undergraduate programme, you’ll complete work placements with one of your brand partners each year, so that you develop an understanding of a specific job role and get real-world experience. In your first year, you’ll complete a three-week work placement. In your second year, this will be extended to two days per week over three months. You’ll earn practical, professional skills and real-world industry experience that will give your CV a valuable boost.

There are 32 boroughs in Greater London, stretching from the City of London and Westminster, to surrounding areas like Chelsea, Camden, Richmond, Hackney and Islington.

It’s big, but it’s easy to jump on a train, tube or bus to experience everything on offer – from food pop-ups to world famous music acts, free museums and West End shows.

Fantastically diverse and historical, with many industries and businesses based here to kickstart your career, London is one of the most desirable – if pricey – cities in the world.

Campus and facilities

In September 2024, the Fashion Retail Academy will be moving to our new campus, Electra House. A short walk from Liverpool Street, Electra House is currently being renovated so that we can provide bigger and better specialised creative, learning and communal spaces for our students.

Electra House is twice the size of our current campus and is being specially designed to give our students bigger and better creative, learning and communal spaces. There will be 6 lecture theatres, a fashion design wing, bespoke studio spaces, digital suites and creative labs, in addition to exhibition and social spaces. The new campus is in central London, immediately opposite Moorgate station and a short walk away from Liverpool Street station. All of our degree students have access to their own on-site speakeasy, and there are specialised event and exhibition spaces for use throughout the year.

Please see our website for more information.
