Courses

At University Centre Kingston Maurward, programmes range from the foundation degrees and diplomas, and top-up degrees in specialist subjects.

Foundation Degrees (Fd/FdSc) - Delivered in partnership with degree-awarding bodies – these are two-year courses are designed to provide practical study at degree level. They provide a way of studying for a range of learners, such as non-traditional Higher Education entrants e.g. mature learners.

Diplomas in Higher Education (DipHE) - These programmes are delivered in partnership with The Open University. With some diplomas also incorporating HTQs, they centre around industry expectations and standards. They provide an opportunity for learners to gain degree-level qualifications, in specialist, work-related subjects.

Top-Up's (BSc Hons) - For some subjects, students who successfully complete their foundation degree may decide to apply for a ‘top-up’ year here, rather than at their partner university or another to study for an honours degree.
