About us

At Kingston University, we’ll open up opportunities for you, enable you to make the most of your learning  journey and equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make your mark in the world.

We are one of just 26 universities and colleges in the UK who’ve been awarded Teaching Excellence Framework Gold for our overall rating, student experience and student outcomes, recognising our commitment to providing the very best educational experience.

All our courses are developed with your career in mind. Many courses have been developed in consultation with industry-leading organisations and carry professional accreditation.

Through our Town House Strategy, we are transforming our students’ education by embedding the Future Skills most valued by employers across the curriculum of all our undergraduate degrees. As part of our Future Skills programme, you’ll complete modules ensuring you are equipped with the skill set for a rapidly evolving world of work.

What makes us different

We’re continuing to make major investments in our campuses. Studying at Kingston University gives you access to a range of cutting-edge facilities, including high-specification workshops, studios and laboratories, designed to replicate the professional world of work. Our multi-award-winning Town House has been named best building, both in Britain and Europe, for its architecture. It incorporates a large three-floor academic library, archive, dance studios, courtyard, cafés and plenty of space for collaborative learning.

In seven of the past eight years, we’ve been ranked top or second in the UK for graduate start-ups (HE-BCI), nurturing our budding entrepreneurs while at university and beyond. Innovation extends into all areas of learning, to help you develop an enterprising mindset that will be crucial to success in your future career.

The University is located in a student-friendly riverside town of Kingston upon Thames, that’s just a short train ride from the centre of London.

Future Skills gives students a practical knowledge of skills, such as creative thinking, problem solving, communication and collaboration, that we need to develop both at university and outside our studies.
