International

UWL has a reputation for high-quality education closely linked to employment. We aim to inspire our students to become innovative professionals, connecting them to exciting and rewarding careers.

Based in the heart of one of the UK’s most successful business regions, the University has highly qualified staff with a wealth of experience in their respective disciplines and strong connections to their industries.

Everything we do is designed to equip our students with both the academic knowledge and practical skills to succeed in their chosen careers.  We are The Career University.

Why West London?

Our West London campus is located in what is widely regarded as being one of the most desirable places in London to live. There is a free bus available to all students which connect the two sites, Ealing and Brentford, just 10 minutes apart. Both towns combine a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere with spacious parks and relaxed cafe culture. The area is safe, beautiful, multicultural and close to both London Heathrow Airport and the very centre of the city of London.

The Ealing site of our West London campus has just undergone a £50 million transformation. It now features state-of-the-art student facilities including a refurbished Students’ Union, music studios, an auditorium, the Paul Hamlyn library, restaurants and cafes, and much more.

The Berkshire Institute for Health, situated in Reading, is in walking distance of the main railway and bus stations, adjacent to car parking and within easy reach of the town's 'park and ride' bus stops. People come from miles around to sample Reading's shopping and nightlife. With the University of Reading in the same town, there is plenty of entertainment aimed at students and lots to do.  You can get to London Paddington by train in less than 30 minutes.

Student Support

The University offers a breadth of support and advice concerning both your professional and your personal life, including help with funding, learning support, health and counselling services, accommodation and a chaplaincy welcoming all faiths.

Employment Prospects

UWL is the top modern university in London for employment.

The University of West London has one of the best employment rates in the country with 97% of students in work within six months of graduating. These are the latest figures according to Employment Performance Indicators (EPI) released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency HESA in July 2017.

The careers service can support you with your career planning by helping you develop and enhance your employability skills and graduate attributes.

We provide job opportunities, employer engagement activities and employment-related information and advice for students and graduates using a large database of vacancies and employer contacts covering all sectors of employment.

What our students say

"I chose the University of West London because of the strategic location of the university, which is very close to central London and in a quiet, safe and friendly area. The University offers amazing support to international students with English courses and an office dedicated to helping us. There is an active student union organising different events to make friends, and the employment service helped me find a job very easily and has supported me to build my CV."
