Life on campus

Often referred to as the cultural capital of Wales, Aberystwyth offers more than just academic excellence - it provides an exceptional student experience. With staff and students from over 100 countries, our campus-based university is a friendly cosmopolitan hub. Everything you need is conveniently located in one place, creating a close-knit community feel, and the campus itself is just a short walk from the town centre and Aberystwyth’s iconic seafront, offering breathtaking sea views, coastal walks, and three beaches to explore. Our campus is also home to modern accommodation, restaurants and cafes, the main library, and the renowned National Library of Wales. At the heart of campus life is the lively Students’ Union, which supports over 100 clubs and societies, and one of Wales’s largest Arts Centres, featuring a boutique cinema, a theatre, live music events, art exhibitions, and creative workshops.
