WE ARE WESTMINSTER - A Spoken Word Poem

#WeAreWestminster. We proudly celebrate who we are, what we stand for and our wonderful community. This spoken word poem is written and spoken by Zahra Butt, our current Students’ Union President and a Westminster Creative Writing and English Literature graduate. She represents everything we stand for as a university – a champion for inclusion, community, compassion and kindness, with a relentless drive to be the very best version of herself. This piece is a great way to capture that history in the hopes that people who come to Westminster or who are already here know that this is what 'being Westminster' looks like.

Being one of the most diverse universities is something which attracted me as I wanted to experience different cultures and broaden my horizons. Studying History and Politics at Westminster was the best combination possible, as all the resources needed from Parliament, to the British Library and Museum were within walking distance from my campus.
