Mechanical with Automotive Engineering MEng (Hons)

Hi! I'm Oli from Hertfordshire. I studied Maths, Further maths, Physics and Chemistry at A level at a UK state school where I always knew I wanted to get into the automotive industry. Now at the University of Bath I am following my dream and learning the fundamentals in order to make my mark on the automotive sector. I have completed a placement with Mercedes AMG F1 team as a design process and development engineer and I loved every moment. I am an active memeber of the uni Canoe Club on committee and love white water kayaking and canoe polo as well as coaching others. In my first year I went on my first river trip and last summer was in the alps kayaking white water. My favourite modules are vehicle engineering and internal combustion engine technology which have allowed us to explore sectors we are particularly interested in. In the future I would love to work for a Formula 1 team or a british automotive brand designing and researching high performance vehicles. Feel free to ask any questions!

I'm Sean and I'm in my 2nd year studying BSc Computer Network Engineering. Originally from Birmingham, I decided to attend the University of Northampton as they have a course specific to what I want to get into once I graduate and promote an inclusive environment where everyone can be who they want to be. Once I graduate university, I'd love to work as a Network / Systems Administrator at a large company or work at companies providing internet services such as web hosting or home / business internet connections.

In my spare time, I like to play games, watch anime, socialise with friends and spend time in the societies I'm a part of at university.

I am from Plymouth in the South-West of England. I stayed there until I was 18 and subsequently moved to Perth, Western Australia where I worked on a tall ship for a 18 months. I then moved to Auckland as well as Vancouver, BC a few years later to experience new places. 

I love my degree and cannot wait to graduate and get stuck into Materials Science at a professional level. The testing, research and analysis are things I particularly love about my degree and I'd be delighted to chat about them!

I've always had a big interest in anything to do with science. I always like to ask "why?" and figure out how things work. That's why I've chosen to go down the chemical engineering path. Outside of education I have a large interest in crocheting and I make and sell my own little plushies. And ever since I was a young child I've always had a book by the side of my desk or my bed. It's my form of relaxation and I love getting lost in the pages with a nice warm drink to accompany me :)
