Robotics Special
Are you aspiring to start your career in Cyber Security or AI and Robotics? Or, perhaps you want to work in Machine Learning, Gaming and Immersive Technology or Software Development. This Taster will illustrate how the Buckingham degree programmes provide a fast-track grounding in developing the knowledge and skills you will require to begin a successful career in Computing. Our offer is unique because of our tutorial teaching model and flexibility of study with two entry points and a chance to finish your degree in as little as two years! Our degrees are accredited by the British Computing Society (BCS) and include opportunities to engage in real-world work experience. The programme includes paid online and in-person micro-internships via the B-Enterprising scheme.

We offer state-of-the-art facilities including an extensive range of robotics, VR and AR equipment including the Birdly simulator, and Cyber and Gaming labs. We will explain the flexibility we offer if you are unsure which specialism is right for you and how we cover all aspects the knowledge required for your career in Computing. At this Taster we show you how through studying this programme, students learn how to specify, design, develop and operate efficient and innovative computer-based systems and gain up-to-date knowledge of the relevant computing technologies at an advanced level within a shorter space of time.
At a Taster, you will meet a member of the academic team who will explain these aspects of our offer and more. There will an opportunity for you to ask questions to both current students and academic staff.

"Conspiracy theories are more “entertaining” than the truth"
Accredited by the British Psychological Society, our Psychology degrees provide a strong grounding in Clinical, Behavioural, Educational, Health, Sport, Forensic and Cyber Psychology. At a taster session, you will experience a tutorial and hear from current students, as well as academic staff.

An opportunity to experience a mini-lecture on Defamation followed by a presentation about the LLB programme.
What Depp-Heard and Wagatha Christie teach us about the law of Defamation. The Defamation Act 2013 sets out the law on defamation. The law states that, “a statement is not defamatory unless its publication has caused or is likely to cause serious harm to the reputation of the claimant”. The law also sets out a number of defences to defamation.
