The MFA pathway is aimed at students who want to develop their skills and knowledge of contemporary performance through independent practice-led research. The programme acts as a laboratory for students to develop a unique artistic identity through intensive practice research processes.

Students work with a combination of critical theories and creative materials from the worlds of theatre, live art, music, literature, and popular culture to produce a body of performance practice as the foundation for their future careers as cultural leaders in their respective fields.
In this one-hour session, Programme Director Dr Joseph Dunne-Howrie will give you a detailed overview of the course and a breakdown of the opportunities available to you after you graduate, including how the MFA acts as the perfect preparation for a PhD.
