You asked…we answered

Based on feedback we’ve received we thought it might be helpful to do some terminology-busting so that you know what we’re referring to.

This week we’ve focused on technology and the different services we offer.

What is MOVEit?

MOVEit is our secure file transfer service used to send secure information and data/reports to you. This is a web-based service, and you need to be set up with a user account and password to access it. Each provider can have up to three MOVEit accounts. If you don’t have an account and would like one set up, please contact the HEP Team on 0344 984 1111, or at hep_team@ucas.ac.uk.

What are HEP1 and HEP2?

HEP1 and HEP2 are our test environments.

  • HEP1 is currently set up to allow testing of the application process and data for the 2016 application cycle. This environment will always be configured for the current cycle. The environment has a test version of UCAS Undergraduate Apply set up against it. However, UCAS Undergraduate Track is not currently set up, although we hope this will be enabled in future developments of the environment.
  • HEP2 is our second test environment, set up to allow admissions processes during Confirmation and Clearing. This environment will always be configured for Confirmation and Clearing, and also has a test version of UCAS Undergraduate Track and Apply set up against it (you can only register for Clearing in this application and choices need to be added in Track).
