  • What time are the Customer Experience Centre lines open on A level results day and when is Track available for applicants?

The Customer Experience Centre lines are open to applicants from 07:30 – 20:00, with social media going live from 06:00. Track is available again from 08:00 on Thursday 18 August.

  • What are the embargo periods?

This year’s results embargo periods are: 

  • 18:00 on Monday 1 August until 09:00 on Tuesday 9 August (SQA results day)
  • 14:00 on Friday 12 August until 06:00 on Thursday 18 August (results included in the main release)
  • Which newspaper will be listing Clearing vacancies? 

The Telegraph will be printing Clearing vacancies on Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August.

  • When does Clearing open?

Clearing vacancies are displayed in the search tool from Tuesday 5 July.

  • When can applicants refer themselves in Clearing?

Eligible applicants who already have their exam results can add a Clearing choice from 5 July. On A level results day, eligible applicants can add a Clearing choice from 15:00, and from 10:00 on SQA results day (9 August).

  • What is the last date applicants can refer themselves in Clearing?

The last date for applicants to add a Clearing choice is Thursday 20 October.
