XML-Link and risks of not migrating

It is imperative that should you need to, you have either migrated over to XML-Link already, or you have prepared to at the soonest opportunity.

The impact of not having moved the connection to XMl-Link, from ODBC-Link, in a student record system (SRS) would be:

  • Inability to process 2024 cycle applications in a student record system.
  • Applicant data and transaction details will not be available in an SRS which may affect downstream processing at the HEP
  • HEP will have to use Web-Link to process the applications. The data will no longer be available to the HEP once the cycle has closed unless CSV extracts have been downloaded beforehand.

If you are planning a migration to XML-Link and haven’t already done so, please let our Service Delivery Management (Technical) team when you intend to go live so that we can best support you through the transition.
