Welsh Baccalaureate in Apply

We have been informed that some applicants are choosing the wrong Welsh Baccalaureate in Apply.

We have been informed that some applicants are choosing the wrong Welsh Baccalaureate in Apply.

For those applicants who have chosen anything other than the new Welsh Baccalaureate (exam code .WE) and expect to receive results in the future, we will take the following actions:

  1. Applications already sent to you will be amended to show the new Welsh Baccalaureate (graded A* to C) .WE.
  2. We will email applicants who have registered in Apply to ask them to check they have entered the correct qualifications.
  3. We will also be contacting schools to make sure they have pre-selected the new Welsh Baccalaureate in their exams information.

There are less than 50 applicants who could potentially enter for the old Welsh Baccalaureate, and we therefore expect the changes we’re going to make over the next week to have very little impact.
We do not expect the Awarding Body Linkage (ABL) to be impacted – results will come through regardless of outcome, graded or pass/fail.

Please ensure you refresh your data regularly so the changes we make on applications you’ve already received show the correct details.
