The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) has been introduced as a mechanism for raising the esteem of teaching, informing student choice, and enhancing competition across the sector.
Participating providers will be awarded a TEF classification in May 2017, ahead of the 2018 entry cycle. In addition, TEF ratings at subject-level will be trialled for the 2019 entry cycle, with roll-out anticipated for 2020.
We're currently engaging with all our customers to inform our position regarding TEF. Therefore, we are inviting all of our providers to participate in a webinar from 11:00 until 12:00 on Thursday 9 March.
During the webinar, we’ll discuss:
- a brief background to TEF
- the role of TEF as a student information tool
- the extent to which UCAS may wish to use TEF
If you would like more information, or to discuss this area prior to the webinar, please contact Ben Jordan, Senior Policy Executive, at b.jordan@ucas.ac.uk.
