T Level- Results Day Webinar

In anticipation of the first Results Day for T Levels on 18 August, the Department for Education is hosting a session for admissions practitioners on key points to prepare for Results Day. This will include:

  • An overview of the delivery of T levels in 2022
  • What to expect on results day
  • Considerations for students that do not achieve the overall T level, and how you may wish to recognise the achievement of these students, including through the UCAS Tariff

The session will also provide you with a chance to ask the Department any questions they may have in preparation for T Level Results Day. If you would like to come along, please see the link below.

Tariff points update

We previously advised you we were removing the two values for exam grade P in the tariff, as it may have caused issues with the value that uniquely identifies the EXAMLEVEL and EXAMGRADE. Following on from this update, we are now introducing the following grades to the ABL tariff reference data.

These exam grades have been added to be uniquely identified – the DfE will only be passing a grade of P and you will therefore have to refer to the grade received in the Core Component to determine the actual tariff score.

Exam Level Description Exam Grade Tariff Score
TL T level Technical Qualification – overall grade PassA*C 96
TL T level Technical Qualification – overall grade PassDE 72
  • An applicant who receives an overall Pass in the T level with grade a of A* to C in the Core Component will achieve 96 tariff points
  • An applicant who receives an overall Pass in the T Level with a grade of D or E in the Core Component will achieve 72 tariff points

This information is now available via link products:

An updated version on the ABL guide will be published today with this updated reference included.
