Update to issue with adding deferred entry Clearing choices in Track

Last Friday, we emailed you about an issue preventing applicants from adding deferred entry Clearing choices in Track.

We’re pleased to advise we will be resolving this issue on Wednesday 5 August. We will run a daily overnight job until Clearing closes, to pick up any changes you make to vacancy statuses, to ensure these are reflected as expected in Track for deferred entry courses.

At this time of year, the standard guidance would be to encourage applicants to apply for courses starting in 2021 through Apply 2021, or for providers to make a UF amendment to a choice added in Clearing. However, we recognise this year may pose new constraints, so we're supporting deferred entry Clearing choices being added in Track. Please note:

  • you should continue to manage your courses as you would usually
  • courses that are closed and not published for 2020 entry will not be available to add as a Clearing choice in Track
  • applicants will be advised to use Apply 2021 for newly added courses starting January – July 2021 that don’t have any 2020 start dates set up in the collection tool
