This follows on from our report in July 2018, where unconditional offer-making was analysed for the first time during an application cycle. This report is a key part of our ongoing commitment to transparency in admissions, and will provide timely, relevant analysis about unconditional offer-making, which remains an issue of significant interest to students, teachers, parents, and policy makers.
As in last July’s report, the analysis will focus on 18 year olds from England, Northern Ireland, and Wales, and will be expanded to include ‘conditional unconditional’ offers, and ‘all offers with an unconditional component’, which we first analysed in our 2018 End of Cycle Report. The report will not contain any provider-level data, and we will confirm the full contents in next week’s bulletin.
You will receive a copy of the report before it is published under embargo, in line with our standard publishing procedure.
Ahead of the unconditional offer report, on Thursday 11 July we will publish the 30 June deadline applicant statistics for the 2019 cycle, in line with our published timetable.
While provider-level data is not included in either of these releases, please let colleagues in your press office/communications team know about them as they may still receive media enquiries. If you have any questions, please email communications@ucas.ac.uk.
