UCAS Undergraduate Clearing statistics

Tomorrow, Thursday 19 September, we’ll be publishing the Clearing statistics which show the position as of 28 days after JCQ results day.

Posted Wed 18 September 2019

These are now available to preview, along with a copy of the press release, under strict embargo until 00:01 tomorrow.

Selected journalists will also have access to these today, so please make colleagues in your communications department aware in case of any queries.

2019 day 28 provider EXACT records supply

Further to this, the next EXACT data supply will be the day 28 (2019 cycle) data files, on 3 October 2019.

EXACT is our commissioned analysis data service, available exclusively to UCAS Undergraduate scheme customers. We can provide you with all your underlying data as a computer readable data file, under an internal-use EXACT licence – free of charge.

In previous years, we’ve supplied you with your underlying data from EXACT (refreshed with the previous cycle data) as a one-off supply. This year, we’ve supplied multiple data files throughout the year, so you can access more up-to-date information about your position, enabling you to replicate analysis you could commission through EXACT.

What you need to do

If you opted in to receive the 2019 January deadline data files back in February and/or the 2019 June deadline data files last month, you’re already opted in for the remaining 2019 cycle data supplies, and don’t need to opt in again.

If you didn’t opt in to receive these data files, but would like to receive the 2019 day 28 data, your UCAS Primary Correspondent needs to complete this request form, agree to the terms and conditions, and return the form to exact@ucas.ac.uk, by 17:00 on Friday 27 September 2019.

File details

  • Files will be provided in CSV format, and will contain one record for each of your applications and acceptances.
  • Files contain just over 60 fields, including applicant ID, each following the analytical EXACT definitions. A file listing these definitions will also be provided.

After you’ve returned your signed request form, you will be able to access the 2019 day 28 data files through MOVEit, the secure file transfer service, from 17:00 on Thursday 3 October 2019 until 17:00 on Thursday 31 October 2019.
