UCAS Undergraduate 2015 End of Cycle Report

This year the UCAS End of Cycle Report will be published on Thursday 17 December. The report provides comprehensive statistical analysis of the 2015 cycle.

Today, we are providing you with a pre-release copy under strict embargo, in advance of the media and the publish date.

Some of the headlines from the report (which includes a foreword from UCAS’ CEO Mary Curnock Cook and a key findings summary) are:

  • a total of 532,300 people entered UK higher education in 2015, an underlying increase of 3% (16,100) on last year
  • most accepted students are from the UK (463,700), a rise of 3.6%
  • acceptances from other EU countries rose by 11% to 29,300

Much more, including detailed analysis of entry rates by ethnic group, free school meals status, background (POLAR), sex and other key indicators of participation is included in the full report. For the first time we are also publishing entry rates for young people in each parliamentary constituency of the UK.

The media will be receiving the report tomorrow, Wednesday 16 December, at midday. The report will be available to the public at 00.01 Thursday 17 December on the UCAS website.
