Since the consultation launched earlier this year, we’ve engaged with over 180 universities, colleges, and conservatoires; over 700 teachers and their representative bodies; and nearly 15,000 students to understand the impacts and implications of potential models.
Many thanks to everyone who took part as this helped us formulate our ‘Reimagining UK Admissions’ report which we published in April, outlining our position on admissions reform.
Since our report was published, we’ve held three roundtables with Vice-Chancellors/Principals and leaders of organisations in the higher education sector to further inform our response. These sessions reinforced the importance of our guiding principles, and echoed concern for the critical challenges that must be resolved.
We’ve now submitted our consultation response to the Department for Education and we’ve published a copy on our dedicated reform webpage. Following the close of the consultation, we will continue our engagement with the sector, and keep you updated via our bulletin.
