On Monday 6 June we launched our postgraduate collection and search tools on ucas.com. Over the past week, 21,000 people have used the new tools. Below are the top five questions we’ve received from you.
1. How can I sign in to the postgraduate collection tool?
You can access the collection tool through ucas.com (from the providers’ landing page, under ‘Systems/Sign in’, and from the providers’ postgraduate section). You need to register to use the live collection tool – you can use the same details as you did for the beta system. If you have already used your email address to register, it won’t let you do it again, so use the ‘forgotten password’ link to gain access.
2. Where has the course data in the postgraduate collection tool come from?
Your courses, which were in the UCAS Data Collection System, have been rolled over to the new postgraduate collection and search tools.
You cannot add postgraduate courses to the UCAS Data Collection System any longer and Graduate Prospects do not hold UKPASS information. Please use the new collection tool to update any of your postgraduate courses, as often as you need to.
For UKPASS providers : the course data you had listed in the UCAS Data Collection System and with Graduate Prospects was merged. As a UKPASS provider, you have the option of adding both UKPASS and non-UKPASS courses in the collection tool. There are additional fields for UKPASS courses, including JACS and UKPASS codes. There is also an option to open courses for application.
3. How can I delete a course in the postgraduate collection tool?
Please unpublish it to remove it from the search tool. The publish status is set at course option level.
4. Why isn’t our course showing in the postgraduate collection tool?
If you have registered on our system and your course was listed in the UCAS Data Collection System, it will have been migrated into the collection tool. Please check the course is set to ‘published’ and has appropriate thesaurus terms associated to it. If you would like to join UCAS Postgraduate, please email partnership@ucas.ac.uk with supporting evidence demonstrating your eligibility against our postgraduate criteria.
5. Why can’t I set my courses to be applied for, only viewed?
The ability to set courses to be applied for is only available to UKPASS providers.
