James Munson, Director of IT, has resigned with effect from 13 February, to become Director of Digital Services & Technology at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). We wish him well.

Recruitment preparations are underway for the slightly repositioned role of Technology Director to echo our commitment to digital acceleration. We will let you know about interim arrangements as soon as possible.

To reflect the growing importance of data and analysis in our corporate strategy, we are pleased to announce that Mark Corver has been promoted to the Executive and will become Director of Analysis and Research with immediate effect. Over the past few years, Mark and the A & R team have been improving the scope and value of the work they do to understand progression, participation and admissions to HE. This work has become more and more central to UCAS’ role in the education sector and has high visibility with our Board and externally.

Helen Thorne, currently Director of Policy and Research, takes on the new role of Director of External Affairs. Helen’s role will continue to include the policy, qualifications and press/media work but will now also expand to cover broader progression routes to HE (including apprenticeships), and stakeholder engagement.
