Last week we launched UCAS' Corporate Strategy for 2015-2020.
The strategy is the culmination of a year’s conversation and engagement with the secondary and higher education sectors, teachers and advisers, and student representatives. It recognises the changing policy and funding environments in the four nations of the UK and the challenges that these pose for learners, advisers and education providers alike.
Whilst the strategy emphasises UCAS’ central role in delivering a national undergraduate admissions service which is fair, transparent and efficient, it also describes a strategic agenda which utilises UCAS’ knowledge and expertise to inspire and inform learners, and facilitate progression in education, and in partnership with universities, colleges, teachers, advisers and other stakeholders.
We believe this is both necessary and appropriate to help students make sound choices about the wide range of learning opportunities and pathways open to them, and to enable education providers to recruit the students they want, and achieve their goals on participation and access.
