2015 admissions changes for September
We are now in the position to confirm the admissions changes scheduled to be implemented by September 2014 as part of the 2015 Admissions Changes project. These improvements are described in the latest 2015 technical briefing document on ucas.com. We have also updated the respective odbc and xml manuals. Please make sure you take the time to read these documents, as you may need to make some adjustments to your systems to ensure you are able to receive data from us following the deployment of any changes.
Your technical contacts will receive a copy of this communication. If this message does not directly apply to you, please make sure that your technical department has received it.
If you have any enquiries please contact the HEP Service Desk on 01242 545 734 or hepservicedesk@ucas.ac.uk.
Update on interim Director of Operations
We regret to announce that Philip Blaker, interim Director of Operations, will be leaving UCAS at the end of September. Philip has been appointed as the future Chief Executive of Qualifications Wales, a new body being set up by the Welsh Assembly Government to regulate qualifications. Philip will be staying with us through Confirmation and Clearing, starting his new post in the autumn.
Whilst it is always a shame to lose valued colleagues, it is also gratifying to see UCAS talent move on to more senior roles and into positions which intersect with UCAS interests. We're sure everyone will join us in congratulating Philip on his new role.
We will let you know as soon as arrangements for the future leadership of UCAS Operations have been agreed.
