To ensure our systems are protected by the latest security updates in line with our IT security commitment and ISO 27001 obligations, we will be applying security patches to all operating systems and databases in our cloud-based infrastructure.

These updates will result in the following systems and services being unavailable during particular time periods:

HEP test environment will be unavailable on:

  • Tuesday 17 February from 01:00 until 11:00
  • Wednesday 18 February from 01:00 until 11:00

Live production environment – planned operational system and service outages are scheduled for:

  • Friday 27 February 18:00 until 08:00 on Monday 2 March
  • Friday 6 March 18:00 until 08:00 on Monday 9 March

During the above outage weekends the following systems will be unavailable:

  • Net.update
  • odbc-link
  • web-link
  • xml-link
  • Course Collect
  • Application and Decision Tracker
  • for applicants - UCAS Apply and Track
  • Adviser Apply and Adviser Track
  • UNIQ (OSS Apply)
Following your feedback, we have timed the operational outages to occur after the opening of the Extra process. This will allow sufficient time to ensure your vacancies are up-to-date in Course Collect and therefore displayed as expected in the search tool.

Further reminders will be available through the weekly bulletin and Yammer. We will notify applicants on ucas.com and via social media.
